VZLUSAT-2

This page describes VZLUSAT-2 and provides more information.

VZLUSAT-2 is a 3U sized CubeSat developed by the Czech Aerospace Research Centre. The main task of the VZLUSAT-2 mission is to verify technologies for future Czech satellite missions. The nanosatellite is equipped with: two cameras for Earth observation; X-ray optical payload; two GRB detectors; Space X-ray Detector (SXD); Space Dosimetry System Demonstrator (2SD) and Water vapor outgassing (DPTWI) sensor. Each of the two GRB detectors consists of 75x75x5 mm CsI(Tl) scintillator, read out by a dual-channel multi-pixel photon counter (MPPC) setup. The launch is planned to the beginning of 2022.
